About the Show
A LITTLE HISTORY
Inspiration for a truck show in Waupun began many years ago after some community members went to an event called "Touch-a-Truck". While many see "big rigs" rolling down the highways, "Touch-a-Truck" enabled spectators to see the awesome vehicles up close and even look inside.
IT'S ALL ABOUT TRUCKS — AUGUST 14-15
Now in its 26th year, the event in Waupun has grown. This year's event will be held August 14 and 15. In recent years, the Waupun Truck Show has averaged hundreds of trucks a year from all over the United States and Canada! Our event brings the beautifully detailed trucks to the show for everyone to enjoy and admire. Truckers come to show off their rigs, enjoy the friendship of fellow drivers, and enjoy the appreciation of thousands of spectators who stroll the grounds on Spring Street anytime on Friday and Saturday. A shuttle service takes spectators from designated parking areas to the festival grounds. Parking is not available on the grounds because every spot is needed for trucks!
EVERYONE LOVES A PARADE - AND WE HAVE 2 OF THEM!
Two parades are held on Main Street in Waupun. A Friday night parade occurs about 9:00pm. The City of Waupun turns off all of the street lights on Main Street so the trucks can display their amazing array of lights! The Saturday parade at 3:00pm enables spectators to see the beautiful murals and other works of art on each truck. This year's afternoon parade will feature a "Jake Brake Contest"!
IT'S FREE
Admission to the Truck-n-Show festival grounds (Spring Street in Waupun) is free. Visitors may look at the beautiful trucks up close and look inside the trucks. The technology and changes that have occurred in the big trucks is amazing! We feature all sizes of trucks from big rigs to straight trucks to proud owners of their pick ups. Enjoy good food and drinks, lots of great music and meet many amazing truck drivers! Friday night bands entertain in the Community Center and also next to the Fireman's tent. A fee is charged for the Saturday night dance in the Community Center.
GIVING BACK
The Waupun Truck-n-Show is a nonprofit 501-C(7) organization run completely by volunteers. Besides putting on a fantastic show, organizers take pride in raising money for Special Olympics, Make-a-Wish Foundation and for a local family with financial needs due to illness.
High bidders determine the lead positions in the annual Lights of the Night Parade held Friday, August 14 at 7 p.m. An auction is held to determine the first through fifth positions with all of the proceeds going to the Convoy of Special Olympics. Thousands of dollars have been raised for the athletes over the past 25 years.
Saturday's auction at 12:15p.m. will also determine the first through fifth positions, with all the proceeds going to Make-a-Wish of WI.

Registration / Competition
Waupun Truck-n-Show
August 14 & 15, 2015
Competition actually begins for the "Lights of the Night" Convoy on Friday night, with all the entries parked at the Waupun Community Center after the parade.
Saturday's competition in the other categories begins at noon, before the parade. Plaques and trophies will be given out in over 300 classes, including a special trophy for the Truckers' Choice Award after the Parade.
Awards will be based on the general appearance of each vehicle. There will be between 25 and 40 judges working at the competition — people who know trucks and have been involved with the trucking business.
Trucks are categorized for judging by the tractor and trailer combination. Some of the categories are broken down further by the age of the truck, with separate awards for different types of pickups and antiques.
Parade and Competition for first class entered: $40.00
($35.00 for additional classes)
Parade Only: 1 Parade - $30.00; 2 Parades - $40.00
